Multi-Level Framed Sails

Project goal:

City of Parkland requested to create a shade structure that offered visual interest and full sun coverage for the Pine Trails Park playground. The playground area was covered with artificial turf, which made it difficult to get equipment into the area.

Solution:

We designed a custom multi-level sail structure that shaded an area of 90 ft x 60 ft. To create a stunning visual affect, we used 2 colors of cloth to fabricate the sails. The specifics of the landscape made it difficult to use standard equipment. We brought in a monster crane to lift the columns.
